# View the workflow history

The progress and history of the workflow, including any comments that were added, are tracked and visible to all users. Seeing who has performed specific tasks saves time when you need to ask for further detail about an entry. The ability to view an audit trail in the budget or forecast is particularly important to budget owners.

To open the **Workflow History** window, use one of these methods:

* Click the predecessor identifier button, for example “CC” for Charlie C.Epho
* Right-click the workflow cell and click **Workflow History**.
