# Unclassified data in a budget

Understand unclassified data and learn how to exclude it from a budget.

All budgets and Database driver tabs include [unclassified data](/other-information/glossary/unclassified-data.md) by default.

In budgets that are based on operational databases, and **Database** driver tabs, you have the option to exclude the unclassified data by clearing (unchecking) the **Include ### suspense items…** checkbox in the setup screen.

This option is NOT enabled by default for budgets and driver tabs created before 7 June 2022; this is to prevent any unexpected changes. If you want to include the unclassified data, select the checkbox.
