Workspaces is an AI-powered conversational experience for exploring and investigating your business data. It is powered by PACE, Phocas's AI capability. Ask questions in everyday language and get answers and summaries based on the same data you already use in Phocas.

Start with a broad question, then ask follow-up questions to dig deeper. Workspaces uses the context of the conversation, so you can progressively narrow your questions, explore what's changed, investigate an anomaly, or look into the customers, products, or regions behind a result.

Workspaces combines AI-generated responses with data grids, so you can review the underlying data for a response. Work with the results to analyze or download the data, or create a chart to visualize it.

Open Workspaces

Click Workspaces in your Phocas navigation menu. This is available in the new experience.

The chat page opens, displaying a message box for entering questions, some suggested prompts to help you get started, and a My chats panel on the right.

Manage your chats

Your chats are automatically saved in the My chats panel, where you can revisit and manage them.

It contains:

• Pinned chats, so you can keep important conversations easy to find. Drag a chat into the Pinned section, or use the chat menu and select Pin chat.
• Recent chats. Click a chat to revisit the response or ask follow-up questions.
• A New chat button (+) to start a chat on a different topic.

Use the menu next to a chat to Pin chat, Rename, or Delete it.

Personalize your chats

Personalize Workspaces so its chat responses better reflect your role and how you work.

1. Click Settings at the bottom of the My chats panel.
2. Select the option that best describes your work. For example, select Sales if you're a sales representative.
3. Enter any information you want Phocas to keep in mind when responding to your questions. For example, you might specify the type of data you typically analyze or how you prefer responses to be presented.
4. Close the Personalization page.

Update your personalization when your role or standing instructions change.
