Filter data in Flexible Variance mode

The filtering options in Flexible Variance are similar to those in the other modes. This page provides links to related documentation pages, but please keep in mind that there might be some differences there. The significant differences are explained below.
There are four ways to filter the data in Flexible Variance mode: Focus tool, filter box, right-click filter and advanced filter.
When you filter data using any of these methods, chips appear in the right side of the filter box to help you keep track of what you've done. When there are two or more applied filters (chips):
The And indicator informs you that the AND condition is applied to the filters. You can change this to an OR condition the Advanced filter panel.
The Clear button allows you to instantly clear all your filters and return to the default view of the data.
The Focus button allows you to view a subset of your data in the grid. Select one or more rows in the grid to activate the Focus button, then click it to filter out all the other data. Your filter displays as a chip on the right of the filter box.
While the focus tool currently works differently from other modes, you might find these pages useful:
Select data. Currently, is isn’t possible to select multiple separate rows, but you can click and drag to select multiple consecutive rows. Also, when you select a row on one page of the grid and then move to another page, you lose your first selection.
Focus on data. Currently, it isn’t possible to exclude data or lock selections.
